Everyone Loves Old Fashioned Radio Shows

By Marissa Velazquez

The best thing that anyone can do is to find out about old fashioned radio shows. The people involved in these events are pioneers of the sound system and they continued their careers over television. Families in the past had loads of fun listening to their favorite special on certain nights. Everyone could hear the munching of popcorn as these people enjoyed their programs. It was even great that these family members bonded during this time.

People everywhere loved to listen to the antics of such great comedians who used their voice talent to get attention from the audience. Programs like Abbott and Costello, The Adventures of Charlie Chan, Archie Andrews, Blondie, The Bob Hope Show, Burns and Allen, Gunsmoke and I Love Lucy were great entertainment events.

Everyone knows that Lucille Ball was the queen of comedy in America and she started her career over the music box before coming to the small screen. She used the same comic style over the airwaves that she would later use on her television show "I Love Lucy." This was a program which had Lucy getting into chaotic situations and resolving them before the show ended.

Her personal life was anything but comical since her husband cheated on her almost everyday. He even let Lucy take control of their show in order to have more free time with his women. Ms. Ball was very quick to dismiss anyone who did not see things her way at all times.

Many teenagers in society can really relate to Mr. Archie Andrews and his very funny friends. Archie and Jughead started off in the comic pages but soon moved to the wooden box over time. They had many adventures at their high school and even started a rock band some years later. This show featured many unknown actors who had great voice talents.

It is great that Archie comics are still a big success within America and other places. Children everywhere know all about Betty and Veronica. They seem to love Jughead the most since he is always involved in crazy situations. Reggie Mantle is just another handsome face within this group of awkward teenagers.

A woman named Blondie could always make people laugh during her nights over the sound system. Even though this show was about Blondie her husband Dagwood was the one who was really funny. The comic strips are mainly about her clumsy spouse and the trouble that he always got into. Television audiences even enjoyed seeing this couple in black and white.

Old fashioned radio shows are always fun to hear since some sound boxes still play them nowadays. This was a time when the movie and music industry were pure and had no nudity or profanity. The older generation remembers this time with great fondness and know that there will never be an outstanding character like Marshal Dillon from Gunsmoke. Some television stations in America still run these programs which started on the music box. People who are very lucky will get the chance to hear and see these videos.
